August 2016: Recently the car developed the bad habit of dying unexpectedly while driving. I replaced the usual suspects like the HEI ignition module and verified that other systems were working but nothing seemed out of order. After a lot of time diagnosing and eliminating various systems I was running out of possible causes.

Even though the fuel pump seemed to be producing the correct pressure and wasn't drawing more current than expected I finally decided to remove the fuel pump and have a look at it. That's when I found the problem.
